Utah's National Parks—Canyonlands Through my iPhone

Utah is home to 5 National Parks, known as “The Mighty Five”, all of which are absolutely stunning and unique. Last Autumn, my long-time blogging friend, Rachel, came to visit so we could road trip our way through all five parks. I had been wanting to do this trip for years, even though I had visited all but one park, many times. So, when the time came, we packed up the car, stopped for some snack essentials, and hit the road.

First up on our road trip was Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. We arrived just in time for the golden hour, allowing us to fully enjoy the parks in all their glory. Since we didn’t have a lot of time in these parks, we opted to stick to the main pathways and trails, viewing both ends of Dead Horse Point, made the drive out to Canyonland’s Island in the Sky, with a quick hike out to Mesa Arch. It was the perfect place to spend our evening, with each moment of the setting sun becoming more and more glorious.

I did have my camera with me, but decided to leave it packed away, to more fully enjoy my time there. Sometimes it’s nice to just snap some quick iPhone shots, then put the gadgets away.
