Midway with Brandi pt. 1

Brandi

and I always have great adventures, together. So when she told me she was coming to visit- I instantly started planning our day(s). First up- a day in Midway, Utah.

We stopped to admire the frozen Bridal Veil Falls on our way in. Because of avalanche danger, this is as close as we could get, but it was stunning.

As you drive to Midway (from Provo Canyon) you pass Deer Creek. Little did we know that it had completely frozen over! So of course we had to stop and test it out.

The shallowest part of the lake had thawed because of the warm temperatures, so it was a matter of crossing that without getting wet...

But that wouldn't stop us. I mean, we thought about it, we would be on ice after all...

But we each took the leap and were able to cross to safety.

It was an incredible experience. You could hear the ice breathing, which I can't find an example of, anywhere.

We found abandoned ice fishing holes and took a look inside.

It was dark.

This was just the start of our day adventuring. I have so much more to share!
