DIY Winter Sprig // Holiday Gift Idea

I have always been a big fan of the holiday season; I just love the happy spirit that fills the air! While I've never (in my adult life) been great at receiving gifts, I have always loved to give them! Whether it's to friends, neighbors, or family members, I love putting thought into gifts that mean something and bring a smile to the recipients face!

This year I wanted to create a small piece of decor, a winter sprig, to give to my friends, and am using the MARS® Celebrations® bottle to complete my holiday gift basket! I decided to share my DIY with all of you, so we can all treat our friends to the sweetest gifts, while giving the gift of holiday decor!

To make your own winter sprig and gift basket, you will need:

• wire cutters
• floral wire
• floral tape
• glue dots
• ribbon
• various garland
• small basket
• tissue paper
• giftable items, including the MARS® Celebrations® bottle

Step 1 - 

Using your wire cutters, snip off the pieces of garland you wish to use in your winter sprig

Step 2 - 

Arrange your garland pieces to create your perfect sprig, then secure them with floral wire

Step 3 - 

Once your pieces are wrapped with wire, cover that wire with a bit of your floral tape

Step 4 -

Use your ribbon to tie a bow at the end to not only hide the tape and wire, but to also add a bit more oomph

Once your sprig is done, and attached to your MARS® Celebrations® bottle with a few glue dots, it's time to put your gift basket together! For my basket, I wanted to keep up my holiday theme, and gift items that I felt were useful to the recipient as well as festive! So I included a Christmas Cactus, a holiday candle, some Christmas oranges, and of course, my DIY Sprig and MARS® Celebrations® bottle.
