Entryway Mini Makeover With An Antique Cabinet

One of the first areas in our rented townhome to feel finished is the entryway. While for many months it sat pretty empty (pictured below), I knew I wanted it to have a special antique piece of furniture. So, when I found this antique cabinet with bowed glass, on Facebook Marketplace, I immediately contacted the seller. A few hours later, and for just $75, our entryway was beginning to transform. Of course, it took several more months for the space to finally feel decorated how I had imagined. But, now the entryway is a cozy and welcoming area of our home, and the cabinet really helps fill up the space.

It just took a few finishing touches to really make this room feel complete; such as the mini lamp to add some cozy lighting, greenery to give it life, and some personal touches like the painting from my friend’s grandfather. All of the antique books I picked up at a local antique shop for free, as they were trying to get rid of as much as they could.

With more rooms in our home to work on, it feels great to have this one space completed. Since we’re renting I didn’t want to do anything too altering, but this antique cabinet really makes it feel like a transformation.

(Don’t worry about the door hitting the cabinet, I tested it before and after buying to ensure it would be safe)
